:: Happy Easter!::
Hello everyone. I'm back!!!!!!
I am back after a lovely, well needed, well earned and relaxing break with my lovely hubby and littlies. A worn out and stressed to the max, TB family made a very long 7 hour trip to do 250 miles (should only take 4.5 to 5 hours) on Friday 15th April to Northumberland to stay in a cottage for the week.
Oh boy was it worth it. The weather was AMAZING.
My parents were able to join us for 4 nights, I haven't seen them for a year because they live over 500 miles away from me. Our lovely friends came for 2 nights and then we had 3 nights on our own, then Mr TB went off to work in Scotland until Wednesday.
So today I got me, 3 children, two hamsters and a VERY full Landy 250 miles back home and I am totally pooped!!!!!
So okay my week in photos.
A glass of homemade raspberry vodka to relax tierd bones!
The most spectacular full moon rising over the dale.
A trip to Durham Cathedral. It has the most utterly beautiful stained glass windows but they won't let you take photos inside.
Boooooo to you Durham Cathedral!!!!!!
There is even a modern one that as I admired it smallest littlie told me
"that's Jesus' last tea party Mum"
It made me smile so much. None of us grown ups had figured out it was
The Last Supper as it was quite a modern arrangement but he was right in his own inimitable way.
The most effeminate Roman ever. Biggus Campus. I am NOT homophobic in anyway but it isn't the image the history books give you of the conquering Roman army is it??????? |
A visit to the Roman ruins of Vindolanda. A fantastic day out. So interesting.
The lovely Steam train at Alston.
A good spot for a picnic and a little bit of sock knitting!
With beautiful wild flowers.
and a heart shaped stone (more of a bolder) found by middle littlie for me and yes it too has made the 250 mile trip home with us!
So that's my post of our lovely holiday. It was fabeedoo spending time with those I love and those I love the company of.
Hope you have all had a great Easter.
Love Tickety-boo

No way, I went to Northumberland too! Our journey also took longer than expected as we had to stop 4 times. My smallest one doesn't travel well. It was even worse when we had to repeat the journey back home sooner than expected too. It's a beautiful part of the world and I hope to go back there sometime. I'm glad you had a wonderful holiday, the heart shaped stone is fab!
